YES! This is - in my personal experience - absolutely true!
I've got an incredibly busy life, and have a history of being so busy that I literally forget to eat. Consequently, my body has been in what is known as 'starvation mode' for years. The result has been increased weight, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, and a host of other problems. My Naturopath did some metabolic testing on me awhile back. When the results were in, he commented that I have a metabolism that just goes and goes and goes... like the energizer bunny... and doesn't need fuel. Except the problem is, my body DOES need fuel, and because it hasn't been receiving enough, these are the resultant problems. So NOW, when I DO try to eat, I get SUPER sleepy after a meal, because my body sends all of its energy to my gut in order to process that meal. It is a VERY challenging problem to overcome, but I'm working on it diligently.
EAT LOTS (of the right foods) & Keep the body's systems WORKING! You can make a MONDO-sized salad, LOADED with yummy veggies, fruit, nuts & seeds, and munch on it throughout the day
Also, with respect to the bone loss issue in particular, weight bearing exercises can really help to build bones. You don't have to drink gallons of milk. Eat well, get plenty of water, and exercise. :-)

Subject: Re: [Everything doTERRA] 45-Day Challenge
I am reading the Flat Belly Diet book, the one bit of information that stands out to me is if we restrict our intake too much we can cause as many problems as we are trying to get rid of, one of which is bone loss. So seek out the best and freshest foods that we can. Stick to about 1600 calories until you reach 160 lbs then cut back again.
GO TEAM!!!
