[Everything doTERRA] Re: Bone infection in knee

Far Infrared therapy is very complementary to the oils, I use both in
my work, and have excellent success. FIR energy helps heal diseased
and damaged tissue... here is a link to a video that explains it.
http://oasisenergytherapy.com/hothouse.aspx

In a case like the one you describe, it is very important to
concentrate the FIR on the area of concern. A FIR sauna will not be as
effective as a device such as the one shown in the video, which can be
positioned just a few inches away from the knee and used as much as
possible to resolve the problem.

[Everything doTERRA] Progesterone - Miscarriages

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the long post, but I think the more details I give the
better I might be understood and someone can help me.

I have heard about how great Essential Oils are for healing colds,
flus, and back pains, but it has only been recently that I have been
wondering what it can do for pregnancies, hormones, and other health
issues. I am pretty much a beginner. I wasn't interested in learning
about Alternative Meds until my husband and I decided to start our
family and soon discovered it wasn't going to be as easy as we
thought. I became interested in Essential Oils this past winter when I
became very ill.

I don't know how many miscarriages I have had (we stopped counting, it
was getting to be too much.) But thanks to ultra sounds and a few
doctors listening we figured out I was miscarrying between 2 to 6
weeks. In 2006, I finally agreed to see a naturepath and nutritionist.
It has been a long road in finding out what the cause is of the
miscarriages and luckily there are things we can do to help carry full
term, but I would like to learn if there is anything I could use in
Essential Oils that might help and may even be better than what we are
doing now.

My two problems:

1. My body thinks it is allergic to being pregnant. Instead of
nurturing the baby, it attacks.
2. VERY Low Progesterone Levels.

I have taken a homeopath that treats my allergies and hormones to help
balance things out. So far it has helped. To give it an even bigger
boost I plan on doing the Lifelong Wellness Pack. Getting balance
isn't a concern for me. Its the Low Progesterone Levels that has
become a very frustrating concern for us.

I have to use a cream to help my body produce enough to have a period,
but it's not enough to help me make it past 6 weeks of pregnancy.

So, my nature path prescribed Prometruim. I am suppose to take it in
hopes that it will eventually teach my body to start producing the
progesterone on its own and to help me carry full term. I have done 2
rounds of this. I am suppose to take it as soon as I start to ovulate.
I stop if my period begins. If I don't have a period then I take a
pregnancy test to see if I am pregnant, if I am then I continue taking
it until my nature path feels I can carry the baby on my own. So far I
have had a period. Round 1 I got a few headaches, nothing too bad and
I actually noticed a good difference in my body. Round 2 was a
different story. I was so sick within an hour of taking the first
pill. We thought the sickness was actually morning sickness so we
thought we might be pregnant, but right on schedule my period started.
Since Round 2 I have been completely unstable in the hormone
department and I have refused to start Round 3. I can not go through
that sickness again without being pregnant. My gut is telling me that
even if I continue the Prometrium my body is so out of tune that we
won't get pregnant until I am balanced again (thus the reason I will
start the Lifelong Wellness Pack)

My question is - is there an oil/blend that someone has taken to help
them STAY pregnant? I really don't want to be super sick taking the
prescription. I want to enjoy being pregnant and experience what has
been robbed from me so many times. I am at a lost on what to do.

I have searched the boards and I have watched the webinars on
hormones, but have been unsuccessful in finding any information
specific to carrying to full term and progestrone levels with
pregnancies and miscarriages. Is this condition rare or just not
talked about?

Thanks for any light any of you can shed on this!

A friend of mine is having sharp stabbing pains in her foot on the
ball of the big toe in the area below where a bunion might be (she

[Everything doTERRA] Brain benefits of lemon

Just read this and thought I would share....Japanese researchers
recently found that when animals under stress were exposed to the
compound linalool (lemons) they experienced lower levels of
inflamatory chemicals in their blood, compared with another group that
did not smell the linalool...breathing in the scent also reduced the
activity of more than 100 genes that are activated during stressfull
situations...linalool is also found in basil and lavender.
In another article...Green tea that is rich in antioxidantes...a study
from Purdue University in the U.S. found that adding citrus juice led
to a four fold increase in the disease- fighting catechins...Lemon
juice in particular preserved the most catechins while orange, lime
and grapefruit were less potent but still effective. This was in an
article on Green Tea + Lemon for lower cancer risk.

Knowledge is power.

Kind Regards
Kathy.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Recipe exchange?

My understanding is the oils are distilled slowly with a low heat distillation
process. The heat of cooking over 300 degrees would negate the frequency
of the oils.
That is also the reason that oils have indefinite shelf life unless subjected
to heat from the sun, or left in an area of the home that gets sunshine,
or in your car.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Getting Pregnant

When I was trying to get pegnant I did the LLW and rubbed clary age on
reflex points. I was on te llw for a few months but I only did clary
sage for a month before I got pregnant. As for a cervis issue she
could try diluting some lemongrass in fractionated coconut oil and
putting that on a tampon. Lemongrass is good for ligaments I
believe. If it were me I'd insert a tampon with the lemongrass 3
time a day until I got the impression from my body it was time to
stop. Maybe arounda month or so.

I have a neighbor that has been on antibiotics for 3+ years to try to
control a bone infection in his knee.  I think he has had a knee
replacement, but not sure.  The past year he has been having problems
with his hip, but the doctors won't replace his hip until the
infection is cleared up.  The antibiotics haven't done their job.  His
options are fusing the knee and being on IV antibiotics for 6-8
weeks.  If the infection clears, they will replace the hip.  If
not......amputation as close to the hip as possible.  THEN replace the
hip.  David Christopher (of Christopher Herb fame) has given him
garlic and the B,F,&C formula over the past 6-8 months, but that
doesn't seem to help, and he is even at a loss at what else to do.
I may have my neighbor convinced to at least try Oregano for 10 days.
I'm thinking of adding some Frankincense and having his wife add
Lemon, too, which they already have.  GX  and PB Assist and LLW would
probably be a good idea, but convincing him is going to be a
challenge. He is giving up.
Any other suggestions?

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Recipe exchange?

Over the last year we have seen a lot of great recipes. I am sure if anyone
has them in their docs. they could forward them on the you. It's pretty easy
to convert your oils to recipes. If it calls for a tsp of cinnamon you add one drop
of cinnamon bark oil. If you are doing a marinara sauce you put a toothpick into
your oregano oil and stir it into the sauce. When you cook the product you
pretty much eliminate the frequency of the oil. So if you are doing it to show
that it can be done, that is great. It is not really a money saving step, but
the flavors are pretty incredible.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: lipoma on child

I would be interested to know if the lipoma has come up recently and
how large it is. Not knowing anything else about your daughter's
general health, it is only possible to make general comment. I'd be
interested to know if she has been in good health and whether she is
teething without too many difficulties. These things normally are
benign and don't cause a lot of problems but it's a nuisance if they
are in an area where they get knocked around. The hemangiomas ought
to resolve themselves over time. Frankincense is my favourite oil so
if you have only just started to use it, give it some time and see
what happens.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Diarrhea and GX Assist?

Thanks for your reply. We decided to start the PB Assist right away,
even though
there were 2 doses of GX Assist left in the program. She did not have
any more
diarrhea, so I am assuming that this was the correct procedure in this
case.

I found this little tid bit on the internet one day at the Natural Selling website.

Make Sure It's the Correct Goal
While setting your goal, I believe a question you must ask yourself is, why are you doing this? (Apart from your prime purpose which is to "Help People Slove Their Problems"- the first principle of Natural Selling).
The logical, tangible personal reason for most distributors is usually to build a business to make money.  If that's the case then don't be sidetracked by making the next pin level your goal, for example, unless it will achieve for you your personal goal.
"I've known many "broke" Diamonds who focused so much on climbing the ranking ladder, only to find that their organization was fractured and they earned very little."
On the other hand I know many lower ranking distributors who create oodles of money because they focus on that and make the ranking secondary.
So think about moving toward your target quitely and consistently, one step at a time, as opposed to moving away.

My own personal thoughts to add:
If we treat someone "less than", they cannot afford to do that or if that is how we feel about ourselves.  Then that is how they/we respond.  We are all royalty.  If we treat those we come into contact with or ourselves as such, how much more successful would we be?

This is what Wendy taught about visualization, she learned it from a horse whisperer:
She was in the center of a circle of people. SHe started to walk towards a lady while thinking-she needs what I have.  The woman could not get out of her way fast enough.  The next time she walked towards the same woman, she was thinking I have a gift to offer to her and at the same time pictured the lady coming to her for that gift.
What energy are we putting out?
Are we thinking that everyone needs the gift I have to offer them?  Are we seeing them come to us or are we seeing us going to them?  Which feels better?
Practice seeing your business grow by seeing people coming to you wanting what you have to offer them.  You have to put the work into getting out there so people can come to you.
The horse whisperer practiced walking down a hall in her home that had a clock at the end.  She pictured that clock coming towards her as she walked down the hall.  Picture your destination coming to you.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Diarrhea and GX Assist?

If your Mom is feeling good within herself, is energised and has no
nausea and the diarrhea is not continuous (just loose motions), then I
wouldn't worry too much about it and I would start the PB Assist.
Make sure Mom is drinking plenty of water into which you can put a
drop of peppermint or lemon. Hopefully the diarrhea will settle down
as the PB Assist gets the gut flora balanced.

Hope this helps!

Below is our current status of living. I would like to know if I am
leaving anything out, so I can add to our "armor".

- using lemon as our cleaning agent, especially around door knobs,
bathrooms and kitchen counters

- diffusing about every other day (because I forget)

- kids take a lavender bath (with epsom salts) once a week (but they
do showers on the other days!)

- I use lavender or frankincense or Balance directly on my armpits for
my deodorant (though I do need to re-apply some days)

- When sniffles or other stuff creeps in, I "see" what is needed by
trying to trust my instinct.  Often, I check my Modern Essentials

-  I'm taking the LLW since money-wise it would be impossible to do
for a family of 7 (not to mention that most of them haven't learned
how to swallow pills yet!)

- Eating organic foods.  When cooking, we are using cast iron (because
that is what we have, and is better than teflon.)

- Limiting the fast food to just twice a month (...trying to wean my
family of 6 boys is difficult)

- using safe personal care products with no BPA in the bottles

- drinking RO water, and using a "Kleen Kanteen" or the likes.  Just
something with no BPA

RE: [Everything doTERRA] Re: eczema

What a wonderful answer! I would second that about the GX cleanse and PB
assist. Many people consider eczema to be an 'external' thing, but usually
the source is internal. I heard of a woman who had eczema for 6 years, and
had tried everything! Went to a naturopath, and he suggested doing a
cleanse. She thought he was crazy because she said - "...but it's on my
arms!". She reluctantly tried it - and within 2 months the eczema was gone!
Good luck to you - and let us know how it goes!

Subject: [Everything doTERRA] Re: eczema

You don't say how extensive the condition is or if you have a history
of it, so I'll assume it is localised and that the skin has broken out
in itchy red inflamed patches which might have a crustiness about
them. Very uncomfortable and unslightly if it occurs in areas that
are exposed.

Before we look at oils, lets have a look at the body systems which are
involved in this disharmony, your circumstances, your diet and see
what we can do to get a balance going.

If I were in your position I would take a look at how much stress I
was under. Is there something that has got "under your skin"? Is
there something (or somebody) that has got you really irritated or put
your adrenals into high gear? Your skin is an organ of elimination so
is there something about your life at the moment which is "inflaming"
you?

Are you eating an acid diet? Lots of sugar, processed food, alcohol,
sodas? Try eating whole foods, cut out sugary foods and drinks and
substitute with water which you can cheer up with lemon slices and
mint, vegetable juices such as carrot with celery or some soothing
camomile tea. Make sure you are not dehydrated.

If you have high stress levels, make some changes to give yourself a
break. If you're into meditation, set some time each day to sit
quietly and play a good meditation CD while you diffuse some lavender
with Roman Camomile and myrrh if you have it. Taking Bach flower
essences such as Oak, Elm and Walnut under the tongue can also help or
if something or somebody is really firing you up internally, try
Agrimony.

Now for the oils. If I were taking antibiotics I would immediately be
thinking about starting a course of Gx Assist and PB Assist and then
the LifeLong Wellness. I would need to replace the good gut flora
which are currently under pressure from the antibiotics.

Topically I would use the Fractionated Coconut Oil as I suspect the
skin is actually quite dry. I would try:

30 drops FCO
10 drops lavender
5 drops helichrysum
5 drops myrrh
3 drops melaleuca (if there is topical infection)

Also, I would put Balance on the bottom of the feet in the morning and
Lavender and Roman Camomile at night.

Hope this helps!

[Everything doTERRA] Re: keratosis pilaris

I have that same thing and was surprised when my dermatologist said it
is hereditary because I don't think anyone else in my family has it.
I would love to know what people recommend.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: keratosis pilaris

I would try blending

20 drops Fractionated Coconut Oil
5 drops Frankincense
3 drops Rosemary
3 drops Geranium
2 drops Cypress

Good luck!

[Everything doTERRA] Re: eczema

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Make Sure It's the Correct Goal

Thank you, Dian.  It's amazing () how often I talk about something and look online-there is the exact thing I had discussed earlier.  This is real food for thought!

The Focus Protocol works the nape of the neck; where it attaches to your head. You use upward strokes with your thumbs and apply Balance, Sandalwood, Frankincense, Helichrysum, Lavender, Vetiver, Geranium and Wild Orange in sequence. You are supposed to state your intent with the oil application (the recipient does), and you finish with a massage of the mastoid area behind the ears. It is designed to aid in nerve and emotional blockages, ADD, chemo brain and anxiety. In the first class, this was on the bright orange paper, and the Hearing Protocol was on the green. You can do this every day for whatever time you need to, or whenever you feel you need it. It can be done on yourself.

Good luck!

Thanks so much!
