Hey that's an idea foggynmisty.

How about a Pumpkin Pie for Thanksgiving that has onguard in it so we can
give the family a little extra flu protection?  Someone always seems to come
down with a bug at Thanksgiving! We just might have to keep the secret
ingredient to ourselves until after everyone eats it! lol

That sounds like MY class!  I will try that.  When we practiced for
the primary program, a few neighbors had swine flu so I rubbed OnGuard
on my hands before going.  One of the girls in my class said the room
smelled like pumpkin pie.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Conference Roll Call

Got you on the list Lynda, and Rob and Wendy(Don't worry, I understand if you can't make it. If you can come, great!), and I think as far as those that are coming to this Brushing meeting, all the brushes are spoken for now, however, that doesn't mean you can't come and learn and have Debbie demonstrate on you, teach you and order more brushes for those who want one. Thanks everyone for your interest. Thursday night Debbie will do a demonstration at 8:30pm, or right after our meet and greet. And again Friday maybe just before Justin's business meeting, right after dinner. She can make appointments with you for those who can't be there Thursday night. Everyone have a safe trip and We will see you at the convention! I can't wait...I hope you all are as excited as I am. I don't think I've ever been this excited about a convention before. There's something catching in the air..... Happy oiling!

Hi Everyone,
I hope it is ok that you all realize my mom had to order these special brushes for you. To cover her cost of the brush and shipping, it will cost 5.00. Is everyone ok with that? She has to do a one on one in order for you to do it on yourself or someone else. You have to know how to use it properly. She will have a hand out for you as well. Debbie will train you personally. She is a Pediatric OT and uses this in her practice, but has also used it with adults. Here is the list. There are a limited number of brushes she is bringing, but more can be requested. She will have a demonstration brush as well. Here is the list so far:

Peggy Langenwalter, Sharon Braaten, Judy Jellings, Patty McKinney, NeRay NutHall, Jan Meredith, Julie Ann Scott + 2 more, Diane Barnhart, Pat Levitts, Monica Molinar, and Sheila Hay.

If I left someone off, or misspelled your name, please forgive me. I will let you know our room number as soon as we get there...at the meet and greet. Send me an e-mail to my personal account if there are any changes. Thanks, see you next week! Can't wait to meet you all! Blessings,

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Looking for a ride or someone to ride w/me to Convention

Hi Bernie,

Any response to your ride-share request yet? Perhaps there is someone
who lives south of you that would want to join you???

I'm looking for someone who wants to share a hotel room with a
wonderful woman who just learned about the conference and is really
interested in attending if she can make arrangements in time. I'd be
happy to pass along contact info. I've also suggested this site to her
as a great way to "meet" others who get it about taking personal
responsibility for our health. I'm looking forward to meeting others
from this group at the conference - very soon to come!

[Everything doTERRA] Re: viruses in spine

Shanta,

I love going to google for answers and found a few articles when I put
in "virus's residing in the spine."

This article was talking about cold sores: "...Infection usually
occurs when the virus enters through small breaks in the skin possibly
at the site of injury or trauma or just small cracks in the skin. The
virus then travels along the nerves to reside next to the spine in a
location called the dorsal root ganglion..."

There are many more. I had fun reading through lots of them. But
need to run now, so Enjoy!
Nancy

[Everything doTERRA] viruses in spine

Hi,
I am looking for references for the theory that viruses 'live',
'nest', in the spine (hence the reason aromatouch is a powerful way to
get oils into the body).
I was reminded of this when the DT tour came and our presenters
mentioned this during the aromatouch presentation -
I am holding a Dr. Mom meeting tomorrow and would like to ensure I
have references for most of what I say as there will be many who are
new to EO/natural health info.

Thanks for any help,
Shanta

Thanks everyone, I knew I'd get good response from this. I appreciate all your opinions and "agenda's". We are all in this together. My friend who posted this to me is a nurse and works in a very technological work environment and all she does is research, so I value anything she sends my way. Thank you all for your response, and I hope I did not offend anyone. Your comments were very well stated. I read most of what Dr. Mercola has to say, because I trust his judgement better than others sometimes, but really did not take the time to research what he had to say. I was greatful to my friend for pointing out what was misquoted. Thanks again everyone,

Thanks, Kirstie! My wife sent me on a mission to find these and there they were in all their wholegrain glory. I think she's competing with the neighbors on the health angle.

One night one of my girls went to bed okay and woke up shortly after screaming her head off. This went on for hours so we took her to the emergency room bc she seemed like she was in pain. It turned out that she had an ear infection! She had no symptoms, ie pulling of the ear or fever. Our dr said that if a baby is sleeping ok and suddenly wakes up screaming 9 times out of 10 it is an ear infection. Maybe have him looked at.

Hi Karen, my name is Nandie and my son is also 1. I have been having the same problem, I had my son ears checked, I know he's not teething and I doubt that he's got stomach ache, But I have noticed that it gets worse when there is a slight change in the dynamics in our house. I have recently gone back to working full time and it was worse for a few days, on sunday morning he woke up at 1 and only went back to sleep at 5 and he wasn't even crying he was just awake. So good luck, I feel for you. Kind regards, Nandie

I do relate to you. I have 5 kids and I always take all of them if I have no
other alternative. Or even if I do I would rather not get use to having to
depend on anyone. This mother should be held accountable and I definitely
agree that she needs parenting classes/therapy of sorts. I also think though
she must be suffering immensely...some people just have that parenting
common sense and some just don't!

My sons school is the same way ... They even sent one child home ... Wouldn't even let her on the bus because her nose was running. And the school has called my phone twice telling me to get my boys the flu shot & where to get it for free. Its a big deal in our county too.

You know its so funny that I am reading all these notes. My daughters
school is sending notices out every other day, not letting any kid in with a
sniffle, fever or who has taken any medicine in the last 24 hours for a
fever. They are offering the H1N1, but the docs are only recommending it
for children and adults with other medical problems, for example Asthma. My
daughter did take the regular Flu mist...so far so good, knock on wood...

Here, here!

And in fact, even our much-appreciated Dr. Hill has an agenda.  We all do, of one sort or another... So, in addition to obtaining our information from multiple sources, it is likewise important to discern whether one's agenda is positive or otherwise.  For example, with regard to health:  Does ________ promote my ability to take responsibility for my own health, or does ___________ encourage me to put that trust and responsibility in the hands of others?  Is one option better for my overall well-being?  Which one serves my highest purpose more?  .... Questions like that, I believe, are important to ask and answer.

Like with cancer, for example... I know people personally who have had surgery, chemotherapy, radiation... the 'works'.... Some of them are happy with that decision; others aren't.  I know other folks who have done less invasive protocols for their cancer treatments, and some of those folks have been pleased with their decision, while others later wished they'd gone the medical route and now they are unable to.

Fortunately, I don't have cancer, though I have had a severe precancerous condition and other problems which cut short by two planned babies the opportunity to birth any more....  And there's a heavy dose of cancer in my family - along with other risk factors - so my guess is, I'm at higher risk than others.  I made my decision years ago... If I ever am diagnosed with cancer, I'll ride it out the best I can, and I may have surgery, but I won't have radiation or chemotherapy.  I have informed my family of that decision, and am comfortable with it.  Some folks think I'm crazy, others think I'm wise.  *I* think I've made the correct decision on that subject, because it feels right to me.  And I am glad that I made the decision before I ever had to, because now, I can relax about it and not worry, and simply go on with my life and enjoy it each day.  Besides, we ALL create and kill numerous cancer cells every single day!  SO *my* goal is to be better at killing THEM then they are at killing ME! ;-)

So, yeah... I read stuff from Mercola, and occasionally pay attention to Dr. Oz, and others of that ilk, and appreciate what Dr. Hill's work has done for me.... and at the end of the day, I trust my gut and the Source that created it in the first place. ;-)

When one quotes the source, it is not plagarism. Dr. Mercola, like Dr.
Oz, Dr. Phil, and everyone else, has an opinion and an agenda. This is
why it is important to get your information from more than one
"source", so that you can be knowledgeable and discern truth from
error.
