sprinkle peppermint on the floor of the coop, especially around the
food and put empty bottles around here and there, and for good
measure, put sprigs of fresh mint in the food container. So far as I
could tell, the chickens were fine with the plan.
The peppermint would dissipate in a few weeks and the rats and/or mice
they would be back but as soon as I put more out, they were gone
again.
