Re: [Everything doTERRA] Scalp Itch

I personally suffer from a terrible allergy to some of the most common chemicals used in shampoos and conditioners and pretty much all commercial skin and hair care products.  I don't know about your skin type or sensitivity level, but I can tell you that I have the same reaction of increasing itchiness if I use a shampoo with disodium EDTA which I found out is a penetration enhancer that, "alters skin structure, allowing other chemicals to penetrate deeper into the skin, increasing the amounts of other chemicals that reach the bloodstream"-natural-skincare-authority.com
If you suspect this itching is potentially allergy related I suggest trying out a "No-poo" routine. Here is a good getting started how-to :  http://www.naturemoms.com/no-shampoo-alternative.html
This is the only thing that has helped me and believe me I have tried many many "natural" shampoos.. and expensive chemical ones... and even the SanoBella which rocks for so many people and smells amazing!  Going no-poo is a good way to experience doTerra's oils though, I simply adore lavender and Rosemary as clarifying and soothing add ins to my no-poo routine, having the those smells wafting around my face is like heaven on earth!!  Hope you find relief soon, regardless of how, I know how frustrating the itchies are!

For the past several months I have had increased itching of my scalp,
I am unable to use any products because they make the problem worse.
I have used Peppermint in my shampoo but I haven't noticed any
relief.  Do you have any suggestions?
