Just another experience . . .
At about the age of 4 I started stuttering (my grandfather also did but I don't know at what age) and my mother (who was a nurse) took
me to the Dr. - he asked her a bunch of questions and this was what they came up with (I do believe it is correct) My mother wanted me to
read before I went into kindergarden so she got these "word" flash cards and would make me sit there and do them - I was bored and remember hating it.
I could read pretty well then all of the sudden I started the stuttering problem. The Dr. told her to stop the flash cards and my stuttering stopped just like that.
