I also recommend Castor Oil for anything that is not infection related, so any inflammation (swelling, bruising, etc.). Castor oil is an essential oil.
Castor oil is well known as a laxative. The reason it works as a laxative is because it is a stimulate. So it also works to stimulate your cells to speed up healing. It relieves pain quickly. "A.R.E. of Edgar Cayce Virginia Beach did a study supervised by Dr William Magarey many years ago. They found that 'T' cell Lymphocytes accumulate in the thousands where a castor oil pack is applied. The castor oil does not osmose into the skin, it is too viscous, however it acts as a giant ultra sound unit attracting 'T' cell to the area which do the healing."
I mix a drop of Deep Blue, or whatever is appropriate, in with the Castor Oil. I recommend applying heat after application to aid in absorption.
I've known Castor oil to assist the body to dissolve cysts and tumors; help heal swollen livers, sprains, adhesions, scars, knee pain, arthritis pain, hernias, back pain, eczema, inflammation in the eye and so on. Yes, you can put it in your eye.
It's wonderful to use on your face for wrinkles and age spots; thickening your lashes and hair, reversing some types of baldness, to name a few of its myriad of uses. The list goes on and on. Do a search for Castor oil cures or therapy and you can read for hours.
So again, to reiterate - anything that is not an infection would benefit from an application of Castor oil. When you add doTERRA essential oils it's an amazing treatment!
I would love to find one that is organic. If anyone knows a source, please share!
Riki
NOTE: It should not be applied to broken skin, or used during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or during menstrual flow.
It is generally recommended that a castor oil pack be used for 3 to 7 days in a week to treat a health condition or for detoxification.
