RE: [Everything doTERRA] lymph nodes/breast cancer/edema

Hey Valerie, this is called lymphoedema. It is unfortunately a possible side
affect of the lymph node dissection. I had a complete axillary dissection
this time last year and have so far avoided the lymphoedema, but it can
occur at any time after the surgery, as your MIL is unfortunately
experiencing. I was using deepblue and aromatouch in coconut oil to massage
the arm twice a day and using onguard regularly to avoid infection in the
arm. I really feel that the LLV is helping reduce inflammation and
oxidative stress from the treatments last year as well. I still take
Frankincence and use immortelle around the surgery sites . I do a regular
Zendocrine cleanse for skin and liver too. There are no doubt many more
suggestions from people who know more about the essential oils .

You would have to be careful with the massage routine once the swelling has
started and there are people trained to help with this sort of problem. I am
not sure if the oils would help after the event but I would be confident
they could make a difference. The deep blue/aromatouch massages also helped
with my neuropathic pain following surgery. I am sure her treating doctor
would have gone through all the advice about heat, exercise and skincare. We
have a specialist Breast Care Nurse in Australia associated with breast
cancer treatment and they are incredibly helpful. I am sorry that your MIL
is dealing with this now.

MIL had lymph nodes removed years ago after breast cancer & now has swelling
(edema) in her left arm. Dr has her wear an elastic bandage sleeve day and
night. Anyone had this same problem? Are there EOs to help? If so, which
ones, how & how often. How soon would she see results? Seems to get
infected easily at times.
