I'm sure there are many who have great advice with oils that will help the eczema, but we have experienced much improvement in my hubby's and son's eczema with a whole house water softener.   Just a place to start, if they haven't already.  

They may also want to be on the look out for possible asthma to come.  Our last child was born with horrible eczema and the drs. said it may be a precursor to asthma...sure enough...he developed it.

Just my 2 cents...about everything I know so far.
