Re: [Everything doTERRA] evidence of organic purity

Hi Janice,
I know how you feel. People who stick by the "organic" label really are basically saying that their products are pesticide free. There are no set standards from the FDA for organic, other than that is what it means. In Dr. Hill"s book on Frankincense, he mentions the 6 testings that doterra uses for the essential oils purity. The Gas Chromatography and the Mass spectrometry. These measure the correct chemical compounds and constituents that are found in the oils. For instance, if a batch came through that showed on the Gas Chromatragraph as a substance that was not to be in the compound, it would show a variance in the overall note, and constituents that that oil is supposed to have. Like if a weed got into the harvesting and distillation, it would change the whole compound and would not be able to be sold as a pure essential oil. But if it has only 5% of that compound, most companies would go ahead and sell it as that oil, even tho it had a variance in it. doTERRA would not. They would through out the entire batch and re-test every batch that came in, not just random batches, and from two independent labs. All the plants, bark, seeds and stems that are distilled through doterra go through these two common testings, but we do 4 more tests just to make sure. I hope this helps, Take care and let us know if you need more help in this.

Subject: [Everything doTERRA] evidence of organic purity

I'm feeling rather frustrated today--I lost a sale because I cannot provide any information on how doTERRA ensures that their product is organic. I've called member support but I can't get anything specific, and product support is not returning my calls. I'm up against a deadline but can't get the support I need. Do you know how doTERRA ensures that their products are organic? I understand about CPTG, but I cannot find anything that tells me exactly what tests they perform on the product. My prospect owns an organic food store and won't carry anything that's not certified organic. How can I get this answer pronto? I'm telling everyone I know that doTERRA oils are the purest and the best on the market, but I have nothing to back up that claim-- other than my own personal experience, which I cannot directly transfer to others. Can anyone help me with this? Janice -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Everything doTERRA" group.
