Ok--I'm exhausted and should not be let out in public today.  I could NOT figure out why anyone would have a problem opening Deep Blue.  In fact, when pliers were mentioned, I thought "what?!"  Now finally after the nutcracker I realize we are talking about the EO....not the rub...

That happened to me once with Wintergreen and they replaced it no problem. But before you do

That try this one last thing get...get a pair of plyers and  try turning the cap with the plyers

WHILE PRESSING The CAP DOWN ... That sometimes gets it past the child proof groove!

No guarantee but that did work for us one time with Deep Blue and worth a shot if you need it ASAP to use!
