I have an African Grey and use the oils on her regularly.....I have included a picture of her for your enjoyment....she is a real trip, and loves her doTERRA oils. If he has one that is plucking itself....that is usually to boredom, anxiety, stress or just plain lonesome-ness!! ~1 get it some toys to play with...hang them in the cage..or be creative and put them in different places for it to enjoy. ~2. play with it and give it lots of attention every time you get a chance. ~3. Change it's diet...if you have it on seeds, especially sunflower seeds...take it off of them....I feed Princess my parrot, Lafeber's parrot pellets and she stays hale and hearty. I also use our oils on her on a regular basis.., in fact she had something going on just 2 days ago, and her feet were swelled up...I put Lemon oil with our FCO on them and 1 drop of lemon in her water....then yesterday just did the lemon in her water, 1 drop. Today the feet were back to normal. I also use the Serenity on her feet if she gets in one of her "being a bad bird with an attitude" spell...this is when she tells me to "chill out" when she is the one with an attitude! HA! I also use our diffuser with different oils at different times in the aviary....works to keep them calm, tranquil, happy, healthy and stress free. Hope this is helpful. Julie Ann
