Sorry I could not get back to you earlier.

My husband had the same condition.

He was very sensitive to Vitamin 12 and could not take any kind of supplements with V12 in it because of an EXTREME tiredness, which he literally had to drag his feet to walk...

When he started LLV, it happened to him again but I told him that he needs to stick with it because his body is obviously lacking V12 and other Vitamins.

I think if someone who is generally lacking vitamins and minerals takes supplements, his or her body absorbs them fairly quickly and needs more.

My husband started with one V and two other supplements before going to bed,

I put essential oils that he likes (Lavender, Bergamot, Wild Orange, Lemon, etc.) depending on his feelings to help him get through a long day at work.

And I gradually gave him more and now he takes recommended dose.

I also suggested him to take a log of water to hydrate him and eats lots of raw vegetables and fruits.

Keep us posted about your friend, hope my experience helps your friend.
