Re: [Everything doTERRA] 'Essential Oils kill viruses'

Apparently the research was done by Weber University, as stated here:

However, I cannot find anything that states essential oils "kill" viruses ... though it is stated that way in many articles I found! When you read the articles properly, it is evident that the oils simply stop viruses from reproducing and "they die" - so it's probably up to your interpretation whether a constituent of the oil killed them.

Clear as mud, huh?

This is said a lot... for example here: http://www.fasttrackplanner.com/product-videos.htm
within the 'essential oils' video.  It is said that doTERRA kills
viruses... but I have been unable to find anything to verify that
claim.  Can anyone help me?

The laboratory tests that I have read indicate that the essential oils
suppress the virus, but they do not say it kills the virus.   For
example: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21078173 says OnGuard
reduced the virus replication by 90%.

Just want to check the correct terminology as my wife is a
Biotechnologist, and her opinion is that the virus will not be
killed.  Suppressing is different to killing.
