[Everything doTERRA] Re: chicken health and treatment

Pam,

I referred your question to my friend who treats all her animals with
oils, including her chickens. Here is her reply:

"Pam, I have found the following works with my hens:

#1 hens fed organic food, with as much free range as possible, have
naturally strong immune systems

#2 certified pure essential oils may be used on hens; suggest diluting
oils with fractionated coconut oil and rub on combs, legs, and
especially soft skin on the bottom of feet. For prevention of
respiratory infection, suggest using blend of the following: melalueca
+myrrh+lemon; or eucalyptus+pine+ melalueca; or use myrtle or
peppermint in one of these blends

#3 spray or scrub coop with clove/oregano/thyme oils and water,
especially roosts

#4 keep the floor of the coop and the yard dry, as bacteria and
parasites need moisture to survive

Good health to you and your hens."

By the way, this friend has not had a vet bill for dogs, cats, pony,
or chickens in over 6 years!
