[Everything doTERRA] Re: ADHD

While every child is different and you should ALWAYS do what is best
for your situation and listen to your doctor let me tell you about my
experience with ADHD and our son. Over the course of many negative
experiences with our child being on medication for ADHD for almost 2
1/2 years and developing seizure activity because of it we now give
him under his doctor's care anti-seizure medication along with Balance
in the morning rubbed on his feet and also along his spine (with an
aroma touch type massage with palm slides, finger tips in 5 zones, and
thumb walk) also on his wrists (like you would use perfume) as well as
Vetiver the same way before bed. He so far seems to be doing alright
with homework and school (a bit wound up when he comes home) but I
just probably need to add something to our routine when he gets home
from school, and that's typically expected after being in school all
day long. While we have only been doing the oils for about 2 months
now, he has been seizure free for over a year and we will be looking
into slowly taking him off the anti-seizure medication in the next 6
months. Our main reason for using the oils on him is to address the
ADHD and being able to work with him to help him focus with school and
sport activites. For our situation medication was hurting more than it
was helping him. After coming completely off his ADHD medication and
once it was out of his system he has gained 30 lbs in 1 year. He is
by no means overweight, he is very tall and now looks "healthy." He
also has a younger brother following suit (as I'm sure if you look
into ADD and ADHD it tends to be hereditary) and we absolutely REFUSE
to give him medication. Instead he prefers to have Lavender at night
and Citrus Bliss in the morning.
