[Everything doTERRA] OnGuard v MDCK cells (study) - query

A quick question for you technically/scientifically minded people...

I put out the research regarding OnGuard with MDCK cells (it's been
discussed in the forums briefly before) to some potential customers.
I immediately received a response from a lady who pointed to the fact
that this was Canine cells... not human. I'm assuming of course that
the success with the MDCK would be just the same with Human cells, and
I'm sure they had a reason for using MDCK cells in the testing..
rather than human cells. But I'm scientifically clueless... and I'd
like to be able to respond to this query with a more 'correct'
response. In other words, I don't want to reply, and then be
embarrassed by perhaps saying something that is actually wrong.

My wife will probably be able to answer this too (she is
scientifically minded!) but she is currently at work and unavailable.
So thought putting it up here might be faster!

Oh, and I found a much longer version of the research that may be
interesting for some: http://www.biomedcentral.com/1472-6882/10/69

Cheers
