[Everything doTERRA] deep blue rub vs. deep blue oil

Just wondering if anyone has had the chance to try the rub and if they
thougt it to be any better than just using the oil I am going to order
1 or the other for my brother (a real sceptic) who has a degree in the
medical field so wanted some of your opinions on which would be the
most effective I have only used the oil and love it for knee pain
which is what my brother wants if for too. thanks so much
