Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: trim shake suring pregnancy

The LLV is the Life Long Vitality supplement line w/ doTerra. Really the most complete supplement line I've ever found. Personally I would love to have had it available to me when I was pregnant.

I used a nutrition shake while pregnant w/ both my boys who are #2 & #3 for me, and I supplemented (though not as good as the LLV because it wasn't available at the time) and my boys were bigger and healthier than my daughter who is #1.  I had fewer problems breast feeding, and my milk was better with my second two than w/ my first.  Everyone is different, but the LLV are the best supplements available, the nutrition in the shakes will only support the nutrition she gets from her diet, and NONE of us eat well enough and in enough quantities to get what we need nutritionally from our food - so just my opinion, EVERYONE should be on the LLV.  When we have another baby, we will be using both the LLV & the Trim Shake w/o reservation, knowing we are giving our baby the best nutrition available for a healthy start.

You are so right. I also have friends who use it as a healthy snack. Thanks for the great comments.

Agreed, Pat.

One of my uplines is pregnant, and she uses the Trim Shakes as a snack-to-go, something to help her get the extra calories, vitamins, and protein she needs, not as a meal replacement. Just because we market something as part of a weight loss regimen doesn't mean it's not a healthy supplement for those who aren't trying to lose weight. The cortisol-lowering Ashwaganda root, if it's not something contra-indicated during pregnancy, would also be beneficial in my opinion because cortisol is our stress hormone, and lowering that would seem to be a good thing while pregnant. Remember, our body doesn't know good stress from bad stress, it just knows stress...and in our modern world, we have waaayyy too much of it.

I agree with not dieting while pregnant, but also have seen so many posts on this
forum of woman using our supplements during their pregnancy and loving them. Some
of them even showed their doctors the supplements and received approval. I also think
that our green drinks and even our meal replacement would be excellent for a woman
expecting a child.
Unfortunately most doctors have never had any nutritional training, therefore their answers
will always be for medications. I will always disagree with this, nutrition is the key to allowing
our bodies to heal themselves and we have to use common sense when dealing with our
body.
Rebecca's comments are correct in the nutritional part, we each personally have to make
other decisions that affect us and our babies.

Not so sure I would take any kind of "diet" material while pregnant -
afterwards (if not breastfeeding) yes, but not during!  Follow a
healthy diet and you do both you and your baby a good thing.  You
should never diet in pregnancy and never take supplements unless they
are maternity vitamins or anything else subscribed by your doctor.
