Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: MS

Heather, you ROCK! Thank you for sharing. For those of us who have never known anyone personally who was diagnosed with MS, you just really helped us understand this condition.

Reiki is another thing that can provide help, and has even sent people into permanent remission. It's helpful with other chronic conditions as well, including Mesothelioma and other cancers, and fibromyalgia. I wish that everyone who suffers needlessly with pain and fear knew about Reiki and doTERRA Essential Oils.

T-cells are one type of white blood cells in our immune system.  No
one really knows for sure why autoimmune disease work the way they do,
it's all educated guesses and conjecture. T-cells are good, but it is
believed in MS that some T-cells within the person have targeted
information for the destruction of myelin and white matter.  Our T-
cells carry around an energy signature if you will of things they are
to fight.  So when you have had flu your body recognizes the culprit
and goes to work destroying the invading organism.  In MS a
stimulation of the immune system by this Flu causes a doubling of the
T-cells to produce more workers to eliminate the invader.  But in
doing this the T-cells that target myelin destruction are also doubled
in numbers and this causes an exacerbation (an attack), in Relapsing
Remitting MS, in Progressive MS there are no real down times.  It's a
constant attack but the flu etc does up it even worse.  This is why
the flu vaccine is recommended to those in MS, there is even a med
that many are prescribed for some of the milder fatigue (it's bad
fatigue, to a normal healthy person) that actually stops all of one
type of the Flu there are different styles of flu strains labeled by
letters of the alphabet.  So keeping healthy - not catching everything
is very very important. The oils deal in energy frequencies as well -
I feel they can help clean up the frequencies in the T-cells.  I
understand the way homeopathics work better then the essintial oils
and i believe the oils work in a simular way.  But I'm sure someone
else can explain that better then I.

You asked about massaging, while the MS was active in my body –
professional massages where LAME!  I could hardly feel them, but
begged by family daily for them to try to relive the pain; I was just
fatigued after professional ones.  With Dr. Hills recommends on Aroma
Touch and having had an aroma touch and not feeling like mush
afterwards but both relaxed and energized, I can defiantly see how
even that part of it would be beneficial.  I used peppermint on my
legs when I was suffering, it was not a high quality peppermint and it
helped stop the buzzing and pain in my legs and feet.  Many people who
have MS cannot handle temperature changes, I wonder if massage –
particularly a professional massage does not raise the temperature of
the spine.  So I think it's the Peppermint stage is imperative for
those with MS.  I could not afford for my temp to raise even a degree
or I was badly affected, 1 degree would take me from normal walking to
foot drop, tripping and needing a nap.

$- seriously we were always broke and my husband makes a decent living
but our medical was always over $6000-8000 out of pocket.  MS patients
are normally expected to get MRI's yearly and they can be upward of
$4000 out of pocket with insurance.  The Meds are expensive and many
neurologist tell you what you can't do never enabling you.  It's a
rotten place they expect an MS'er to live – no prospects in life.
They need hope; they need to as one person said NEVER own the
disease.  Never to say "I have…"  I say "I was diagnosed…"  That was a
label not something I had and not something that had me.  If you own
it will own you, never use it as an excuse, nor let anyone else use it
as one or the body will provide.
Mind over matter and it's a fine line of ignoring the pain and
listening to the body so you can give it what it needs. 

Sorry that was long hope that answered many of your questions.
