Right now the only place is from me. I did not have anything to do with writing this book, but the author
Shanna Christ is an amazing researcher and author. This book is not only beautiful, but easy to read
and tons of great oil information.
She does not have time or inclination to market her book so until we find a better avenue I am
sending it out for her.

The cost is $20.00 and you also have to pay the shipping.

You can find success by blending oils that have the same constituents and properties. You can also blend oils by using the Three-Note Scale and odor intensity guide.

Odor Intensity Guide:
This guide is written on a 1 t 10 scale
  • 1 to 4 indentifies the lightest aromas which are delicate and more fleeting
  • 4 to 7 identifies aromas with moderate intensity  and can last for hours
  • 7 to 10 identifies aromas that are strongest and can last for days.
1. Bass Notes are 5 to 20% of the blend. They are 7 to 10 on the odor intensity guide. They are placed in the blending bottle first. They act as the grounding and foundation of the blend. The aroma of these oils lasts for days., (For example Bergamot, Lemon, Lemongrass)
2. Middle Notes are 50 to 80% of the blend. They are 4 to 7 on the odor intensity guide. They are placed int he blending bottle second. they are the heart of the blend, weaving together the bass and top notes, enhancing the properties of the other oils. Their fragrance can last for hours. (such as Coriander, Ginger, wild Orange)
3. Top Notes are 5 to 20% of the blend. They are 1 to 4 on the odor intensity guide. They are placed in the blending bottle third. Their fragrance effect the olfactory sense first. They are more delicate and are often sweet, fruity, spicy or earthy. (Such as grapefruit, Sandalwood)

When you are layering it would be because you are using all Middle Notes, such as Eucalyptus and Melaleuca.

There is a complete Book of Charts and a page on the percentage of all the oils and blending in Shanna Christs, Book of Charts. This book sells for $20.00, has all of the new oils and is an easy to read Book of Charts that teach you how to use oils properly.

Hope this helps,

Pat

Hey there!  Don't want to be monotonous, but how do you know when to
blend, or when to layer?  Thanks
