[Everything doTERRA] Re: Mental Health Struggles of a Teenage Brother

I have direct experience with this type of behaviour, although I am
not a doctor or psychologist. I would suggest a few things you could
do.

First, your brother should consider having a test for gluten
intolerence and lactose intolerance. There is a very strong link
between gluten/lactose intolerance and anger/mood issues. There is a
lab in Texas called EnteroLabs that does genetic analysis.

I would also suggest that your brother have his blood levels of
vitamin D tested. Visit www.vitaminDcouncil.org for information on the
kind of test to get, and also for advice on what the blood levels
should be and how to supplement if they are low (and they likely are,
even if he lives in a sunny area).

If he will do the GX Assist, PB Assist, and LLW I would suggest
starting that immediately. I agree with the suggestions above, but
also want to point out that in the case of ADD, the brain needs
stimulation so I would choose oils that will support brain function,
like Frankincense.

You might also want to teach him about visualization techniques he can
use to create a positive "vibe" in his mind. Encourage him to
regularly daydream about what he wants in his life, and how he wants
his life to unfold.

Are you familiar with Dr. Mel Levine's books? They are excellent and I
highly recommend them for insight into brain differences. His first
book "A Mind At A Time" was a real eye-opener for me. Another one is
"The Myth of Laziness."
